We know you will have a few questions about Celebrate Clayton operations, logistics and exhibitor guidelines. We have tried to answer your most frequently asked questions below. Complete guidelines and our policies and procedures are included in the application. If you have a question we haven’t answered, please contact us!

Vacationers, visitors and local residents are attracted to the festival by the unique arts and fine crafts exhibited on Clayton’s Main Street amid the spectacular north Georgia mountains. The family friendly festival tempts visitors to stay all day with a kids activity area, a wide variety of refreshments from food vendors and restaurants right on Main Street, and local entertainment on the shady lawn of the historic Rock House.

Celebrate Clayton is open to all Fine Crafters and Artists, 18 years of age and older. The Celebrate Clayton Exhibitor Committee is the final authority on eligibility. Exhibitors will be selected based on the quality and uniqueness of their work.

What types of art are generally accepted for the festival?

What types of art are generally accepted for the festival?

Painting, photography, wood, metal, fiber, textiles, jewelry, pottery/ceramics, folk art, mixed media, glass and stone will be considered for entry. All work must be the original, handmade or created work of the artist. Reproductions of the artists own work are considered the original work of the artist for this purpose. Manufactured goods, handmade imported items or resale items will not be accepted at this festival.

The Arts & Fine Crafts exhibition will be held on Main Street in Downtown Clayton.

What are the exhibitor space specifications?

Each space will accommodate a 10′ x 10′ tent with adequate allowance to raise and lower tent sides. Where possible, booths will be grouped in quads, giving each space two open sides. All chairs, goods, containers and supplies must remain inside the allotted space; walkways must not be blocked. All exhibitors are responsible for securing their tents and displays against acts of nature. Tents are required and must be provided by the exhibitor. No Stakes are allowed. Exhibitors are required to set up and remain for the entire time of the event: Saturday 10a-5p and Sunday 10a-4p. Electricity is not available.

To enter, exhibitors must mail a completed and signed artist application; two color photographs of current work, labeled with your name, and medium (note: 2016 exhibitors need only send photos if your medium has changed for the 2017 event); and a check made payable to Celebrate Clayton for all fees. Early Bird discount will be given for applications postmarked no later than December 31st. Late fee of $25 for applications submitted after March 1st.

Receipt of your application will be confirmed via email. Incomplete applications will be returned. Applicants will be juried and acceptance letters mailed after the March 1st deadline. All fees will be refunded to non-selected applicants at that time. Once accepted, refunds will not be made to no-shows or withdrawals.

Cash prizes totaling up to $2000 will be awarded.

Early set-up is Friday after street closes which is approximately 6:30p. Exhibitors are encouraged to set up on Friday evening from 6:30p to 8:30p. Saturday morning set-up is from 7:00a until 9:00a.

Celebrate Clayton Committee will provide uniformed security Friday night and Saturday night. No liability will be assumed by the Celebrate Clayton Committee or volunteers for damage, loss or injury at any time prior to or during the event.
